My Approach

I practice from an approach that is grounded in liberatory, holistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed principles. I am aware that the meanings of these words are always changing and I am committed to continuing to research, learn and grow with the current social climate, my community and with my clients.

My core modalities are somatic, depth-oriented, relational, existential and humanistic.

Each session is a collaboration between myself and the human(s) in front of me, therefore there is no “typical session” and the practices we weave in will be informed by your needs each day and my sense of you as I get to know you over time. Some interventions/understandings that may be incorporated into our work include, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and other Somatic methods.
